DESIGN PROCESS

I recently worked for an organization where many staff members were excluded from enjoying special events due to catered food options that were not agreeable with their dietary restrictions. Many admins who plan these events are unaware of common food allergies, dietary restrictions and preferences. This eLearning course serves to equip admins so all staff members can be included and enjoy catered events. 

First I ANALYZED the target audience, knowledge and skill gaps. People who plan catered events need to be able to identify common types of food allergies. They need to recognize foods allowed on medically restrictive diets, and health risks of foods not allowed, as well as the most popular preferred diets. They need to discover the food preferences and restrictions of their staff members through survey data collection, analysis and selection of safe menu items for catered events. 

Then I determined which gaps required training and DESIGNED a learning plan that included applying learner's knowledge  through OTJ practical experience. I DEVELOPED the eLearning course in Articulate Rise with two instruction videos created in Camtasia. I would love to be able to IMPLEMENT this course within the next organization that employs me so I can EVALUATE its effectiveness.
